Once again, I see that Lafayette is advertising the LX5000 in the latest edition of the APA Magazine. I have inquired before about the sale of this hardware back in January and was told there were some bugs being worked out. I'm waiting for a response from Lafayette to see if the bugs have been worked out.Has anyone had an opportunity to use the LX 5000? If so, what do you think about it?? IP: Logged |

I just got my LX 4000 a year ago and now we're moving into a 5000 series. I spoke with Chris at Lafayette a few weeks ago and he mentioned an update for the 4000 was coming out, but have not heard or seen anything. [This message has been edited by Fed Employee (edited 05-08-2008).] IP: Logged |

To FED EMPLOYEE:I received a response from Lafayette today. Yazmin Brokema sent me the technical data on the LX5000, I'll email it to you. She said that they have made a few shipments already, and that she will prepare a quote for me. Apparently the components are optional, either "Blue Tooth" or USB. I'll get both just for comparison to see if there is any difference. IP: Logged |

Out of curiosity, what is it that's attractive about the LX5000? The only difference I saw last year was that it was wireless. Did they improve any of the sensors?By the way, if wireless is a plus (and I don't see the benefit - yet), Limestone told me they could do that too if somebody really wanted it. I believe Tyler said it was all "off the shelf" technology, meaning nothing special was required to make it possible with any system. IP: Logged | |
